What is Occupy?
Most people in the UK know only of the occupy camp at St Paul's, which resided outside the famous cathedral from 15 October 2011 - 27 February 2012, what most people do not realise is quite how huge and global the occupy movement is. There are occupiers all over the world, in towns, cities, villages, living rooms and on the internet.
Occupy is made up of individual human beings who realise that something is wrong with the world, authority is frustrated that we do not have specific demands, that is the beauty, we are coming together with all of our experiences, lifestyles, frustrations, skills...
There are no leaders, there are no spokespeople, there are no structures.
Occupiers are highlighting problem issues with the world, be they local or global.
This is done through discussion, protest, networking, petitioning...
We are developing and implementing methods of sustainable living for the long term future of the human race and we believe that the human spirit is awakening and we are remembering who we really are.
By joining together we can change the world we live in . The news you read, watch and hear, it is created by the 1% to keep us controlled. Take a look at the 'Global' page to see just how huge and global the Occupy Movement is, but how much have you heard about it from mainstream media? And what you do hear is often distorted to turn you against us.
Our aim is to create (occupy) spaces within the local area which encourage open debate and discussion and to support local and global issues which are brought to our attention
To occupy all you need is a belief that you have been robbed of your life and that feeling that you are always looking for something better.
Life was never meant to be a struggle, it has been made that way by the greed of others
We believe in LOVE,
Human Spirits WILL join together
to break free of the current unjust system
WE ARE THE 99%
